Undergraduate Admissions Requirements

To be considered for admission, applicants must have an average equivalent to 85% or higher, depending on the education system, and as calculated by AUS, in each of the last three years of secondary education. Those applying early must achieve a minimum of 85% in both grades 10 and 11. All applicants must also submit a personal statement and two recommendation letters from their school: one from a school counselor and one from a teacher. In addition, applicants to the majors of architecture, design management, and interior design should submit a portfolio. It is important to understand that the average minimum requirement of 85% serves as a guideline for admission to AUS, which is a competitive process. The actual minimum average needed for an admission offer may be higher and can vary based on several factors, such as academic performance, the chosen college or major, and specific program requirements. For STEM and similar majors, applicants may need to have an equivalent grade of at least a B in Mathematics and Physics. Additional considerations include SAT scores (if applicable), the number of qualified applicants, seat availability, and English proficiency, which is assessed through TOEFL or IELTS scores.
