Admission requirements for the British Curriculum
Admission to AUS is competitive, and the required minimum average for admission consideration will depend on the number of qualified applicants and available seats.
The following are the requirements for British Curriculum students:
- Applicants must have five IGCSE/GCSE (O-Level) subjects with a minimum grade of 5 or B in each subject, and either three AS-Level subjects, or two A-level subjects with a minimum grade of B in each subject. The final GPA calculation will take into account both the grade variations and the number of subjects completed in each category to achieve the required result.
Priority for admission will be given to applicants who have the required number of AS and A Level subjects shown above and meet the necessary grade criteria.
Applicants must complete Year 13 (equivalent to American Grade 12), and the last year of school report should show Year 13.
Applicants must provide a Sequencing Certificate (Certificate of School Registration History) with the last year of schooling showing as Year 13. Graduates from schools outside the UAE may provide signed letters from their schools confirming the completion of 13 Years of schooling.
Applicants must complete the required subjects with a minimum grade of B (or equivalent) to be considered for admission to Engineering, Science, Architecture & Interior Design, and Business majors. Please refer to the website for a list of majors and required subjects.

At the initial stage, unattested documents are accepted. After processing the application or upon admission, all documents must be attested as applicable, for the file to be completed and for course registration eligibility.
Early Admission (highly recommended)
Applicants are encouraged to apply early. If you are in your final year of secondary school, you are encouraged to apply for early admission by submitting official grade reports for grades 10 and 11.
Early admission is only offered to highly qualified applicants. Admission is not considered final until students submit a recognized and officially certified secondary school certificate or equivalent showing successful completion of secondary education and meeting all the conditions as listed in the Admission Letter.
