If you are already attending university elsewhere and would like to transfer to AUS, your requirements for applying to AUS will be different from those of a first-time student.
First, to apply for admission consideration as transfer applicant, you must meet the following conditions:
- You must be in good academic standing, i.e., not on probation or dismissed from the institution from which you are transferring.
- You are transferring from an independently accredited institution of higher education recognized by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and offering learning experiences equivalent to those offered at AUS.
- Before your admission to the institution from which you are transferring, you met the AUS requirements for admission including the English language proficiency requirements of AUS.
If you are accepted to AUS as a transfer student, you must submit official transcripts of your high school and college/university records, along with the syllabi of courses you seek to transfer. Your official university transcript and the official course syllabi must be sent directly from the institution you are transferring from to AUS. If you are attending a private university within the UAE, you must have your university transcript attested by the UAE Ministry of Education.
To match the AUS courses with the completed courses you wish to transfer, refer to the AUS Undergraduate Catalog. Applicants transferring from design majors to the College of Architecture, Art and Design, must submit their portfolio (samples of their work on CD, USB, or hard copies are accepted).
