At the American University of Sharjah (AUS), student health and wellbeing are a priority. All new students are required to complete a Medical Record Form through University Health Services (UHS).
Complete the University Health Services Medical Form and organize health insurance. As a new student, you will be required to submit a Medical Record Form to University Health Services (UHS).
This form must be endorsed and stamped by a licensed physician and can be completed either in your home country or on campus at AUS. You may submit the form once you begin attending classes on campus.
Medical insurance is mandatory for all AUS-sponsored students—those whose visas are sponsored by the university—as well as for students who do not already have valid health insurance coverage. This ensures that every student has access to essential medical care throughout their time at AUS.
All registered AUS students, including both undergraduate and graduate students, are eligible to enroll in one of two medical coverage options:
Plan 1 - Al Buhaira National Insurance Company (ABNIC)
AUS has partnered with a reputable insurance provider, Al Buhaira National Insurance Company (ABNIC), to offer limited medical coverage to our students that is both administered and managed by AUS University Health Services.
Plan 2 - University Health Services medical coverage (AUS Campus Only)
Applicable to the American University of Sharjah campus only and covers basic services.
