Attesting Documents in the UAE for Bachelor's
Certificates and grade reports must be certified or attested by the UAE Ministry of Education or the relevant authorities, as stated below:
- Abu Dhabi: Department of Education and Knowledge
- Dubai: Knowledge and Human Development Authority
- Sharjah: Sharjah Private Education Authority
- All other Emirates: Ministry of Education
For British system qualifications, if you are unable to attest the documents from the above, you can attest the documents by the British Council.
- The British Council requires the official certificates to be attested by the school.
- The required attested certificates are the final IGCSE/GCSE/GCE certificates, NOT the statement of results or the provisional results.
- The required grade reports for Years 11,12 and 13 (Grades 10, 11, and 12) are to be attested as applicable.
Originals must also be submitted along with the certified copies for final verification by the Office of Enrollment Management. Originals will be returned.
Attesting Documents outside the UAE for Bachelor's
Certificates and grade reports must be certified or attested by:
- Certification from the country of origin: Documents must be certified or attested by the authorized educational authority, the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the UAE Embassy.
- Certification in the UAE: Documents that are certified by the authorized educational authority of the country of origin must be certified or attested by the country’s embassy in the UAE and the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Applicants are required to check with the UAE embassy or the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs to make sure that this option is available for their certificates.
For British system qualifications, if you are unable to attest the documents from the above, you can attest the documents by the British Council, the country’s Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the UAE Embassy.
- The British Council requires the certificates to be attested by the school.
