Sometimes applicants and admitted students may need to defer their start at AUS for various reasons. While we do hope to see you on our campus soon, there is a process in place in case you need to defer your application or admission.
Undergraduate and graduate applicants who have submitted an application or who have been admitted can defer their application to the following semester/term. Applicants can defer an application within one academic year only. UAE citizens attending compulsory military service may defer their application to the next academic year.
To submit a deferral request on apply.aus.edu:
- go to My Account / My Applications
- choose your active application
- click View
- at the top right corner under Withdraw, click on Deferral Request
