The PhD in Management (PhD-MGT) at AUS is designed for individuals seeking to pursue a career in academia or research institutions.
The program provides cutting-edge research opportunities across various fields, including strategic management and corporate leadership, entrepreneurship and family-run businesses, and organizational behavior and human resource management. By engaging in rigorous research, students develop the expertise necessary to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in their chosen field through original scholarly work.
The program also equips graduates with advanced skills in data analysis and research methodologies, enabling them to critically examine and address complex management challenges. With a strong focus on academic excellence and intellectual contribution, the PhD-MGT program prepares students to become leading scholars and researchers, shaping the future of management education and practice.
In addition to meeting the university's general requirements for admission to PhD degree programs, applicants to the PhD-MGT degree program must meet the following program admission requirements:
- Applicants must have completed a Master of Business Administration degree, or a master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Applicants must submit an official Graduate Record Examination (GRE) score or Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) score.
A graduate degree in management is not an admission requirement. However, candidates who lack proper preparation in management might be asked to successfully complete two courses in the MBA program that are related to management.
Admission to the program occurs once a year, exclusively in the fall semester.
