Applicants to Doctoral programs at AUS are required to submit General GRE Test scores (Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning and Analytical Writing).
The GRE General Test measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking, and analytical writing skills — skills that have been developed over a long period of time and are not related to a specific field of study but are important for all. The overall testing time for the computer-delivered GRE® General Test is about three hours and 45 minutes. The GRE includes three test sections:
- Verbal Reasoning
- Quantitative Reasoning
- Analytical Writing
GRE is not offered at AUS Testing Center. For registration and exam information, please visit www.ets.org/gre/
To meet the needs of students who are unable to take the GRE® General Test at a test center due to public health concerns, ETS is temporarily offering a GRE General Test at home option. The test is identical in content, format, and on-screen experience to the GRE General Test taken at a test center. It is taken at home and is monitored by a human proctor online through ProctorU®.

Note that AUS applicants are required to have their GRE score reports sent directly to AUS by choosing GRE code: 4028.
