GRE Exam

Applicants are required to submit General GRE scores for admission to the PhD in Engineering - Engineering Systems Management (PhD ESM) program at AUS.

The GRE General Test measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking and analytical writing skills — skills that have been developed over a long period of time and are not related to a specific field of study but are important for all. The overall testing time for the computer-delivered GRE® General Test is about three hours and 45 minutes. The GRE includes three test sections:

             Verbal Reasoning

             Quantitative Reasoning

             Analytical Writing

GRE is not offered at AUS Testing Center. For registration and exam information, please visit

To meet the needs of students who are unable to take the GRE® General Test at a test center due to public health concerns, ETS is temporarily offering a GRE General Test at home option. The test is identical in content, format and on-screen experience to the GRE General Test taken at a test center. It is taken at home and is monitored by a human proctor online through ProctorU®.
