Welcome to the University Health Center (UHC)

UHC provides educational, supportive, and consultative health care to the AUS campus community. UHC places great emphasis on making the AUS campus a healthy and safe place to study, work and live!

With three full-time physicians, five full-time nurses, and a counselor, we provide a range of services:

• Outpatient services for both acute and chronic problems
• Short-term emergency care
• Women's health education
• Referrals to specialists in all fields
• Physical examinations for pre-admissions, pre-employment, overseas travel, sports teams, etc.
• Vision and blood grouping tests for driving licenses
• Medical checks for new faculty UAE residency
• Limited minor surgical procedures
• Follow-up care (i.e., dressing changes, stitches removal, etc.)
• Immunization advice, vaccines
• Medical attendance at  outdoor student activities
• Health education programs: counseling and preventative medicine
• Pamphlet information on a wide variety of medical conditions
• Medical insurance for students
• Psychological counseling
• Ambulance services: emergency services to a local hospital
• Laboratory services
• Pharmacy
• Insurance provider representative
